How to remove yourself from BeenVerified

Last verified: · Mostly verified against official pages; some parts could not be checked

BeenVerified lets you remove your record from its people-search results without being a member and without paying. The online process removes one record at a time, so if you have several you will need to email the company for the rest.

Do listings come back?
BeenVerified says a new record can appear if a data partner supplies information it cannot match to your old record. If that happens after you opted out, it asks you to email privacy@beenverified.com. It also says your name might still appear in its other search services, such as property or contact search, which have separate opt-outs. We suggest re-checking every few months (our suggestion, not a company figure). Official page

What BeenVerified asks for

Step-by-step: remove yourself from BeenVerified

  1. Open BeenVerified's opt-out search (link below).
  2. Search for yourself using the form and select the record you want removed.
  3. Submit your email address. BeenVerified will send a verification email.
  4. Click the link in that email to confirm. BeenVerified then sends a second email confirming the record has been opted out.
  5. Wait about a day, then search your name again in the same opt-out search to check. BeenVerified suggests clearing your browser history if you still see the old result.
  6. If you find more than one record about you, email privacy@beenverified.com. BeenVerified states that, to prevent fraud, the online process removes only one record.
